AMÉNAGEMENT URBAIN

New York : New York City Department of Transportation, 2013.
Presents a quantitative assessment of road safety in New York City based on before and after comparisons of crash data of street design projects in the last seven years and explores ways that road design, traffic control and street treatments can improve street safety. Strategies recommended include making the street easier to use by accommodating desire lanes, minimizing complexity, grouping users, creating platoons of vehicles, increasing visibility and choosing quality over quantity.
